Happy ♥ Day!!!

We celebrated our first Valentines Day together yesterday.  Daddy bonteer booked Jewel Box's Emerald Lounge, and food was sumptuous. :)  We had a nice chat and I realized one thing, he's really the man I'm prepared to marry.  He also had flowers in a vase delivered to my office. Although I knew it would happen, I still felt the tickle when I received it.

"The first time you really fall in love, it changes your life forever, and no matter how hard you try, the feeling never goes away.  No matter what you do, he'll stay with you forever." - my favourite line in The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks.

Our Prenup Saga

I so looove looove looove photos.. So I didn't realize that I'm planning for a lot of pre wedding shoots for us already..  And it will take almost 1/4 of our budget already! :(  Hence, I need to contemplate.. prioritize and snap back to reality.

Here's the breakdown of our prenups:

1.  Prenup with Earvin Paul - this is our trial pre nup.  Baby needs this, as he's not used to facing the camera and posing. And we paid him already, plus we've done all the DIY props and bought our costumes.  We have 3 themes with him; First, Valentines Day theme inspired by Simply Bloom Photography we found at greenweddingshoes.com.  Second, is a proposal theme, with baby wearing his proposal shirt, me wearing a normal dress.  Third, is a vintage sunset shoot at Changi Boardwalk.  I hope we still can push through with this and not feel lazy.

2.  Prenup with Ralph on May - Ralph is my University classmate.  Plus we only need to pay a minimal sum, so it's like a bonus for us.  No theme yet, but it might be a magazine spread theme, venue to be advised by Ralph.

3.  Bridal Boudoir by Rene Gaviola - Rene was booked way back 2009.  And so we're left with a minimal balance with him.  Plus he's a good photographer in my opinion and I've done my reserach with pegs of photos.

4.  Mini Movie by DLS - this will serve as our save the date.  I've watched a mini movie by Mayad and fell in love with it.  But we've paid downpayment to DLS already and they're quite good with videos, so we've decided to push through.

5.  J Lucas - because this is included in the package we took from him, it's a must.  But we've decided to take a post nup instead because of the number of pre nups we'll be having.  Hopefully, we can pull up a Bellarocca or Boracay post nup. :)
6.  Sister's prenup - my sister volunteered to do a pre nup for us.  I haven't finalized things with her yet but I know it will be a great one. :)   This will be on May as well.

7.  Xeng's Prenup package - it's a good deal plus it can serve as a trial for us since she will be my hmua for the wedding day itself.  She'll be styling 8-10 costume change.  Inclusive of photographer Marty Ilagan too. I'm still thinking about it...

Ooohh gosh.. 6 pre nups.. I want to do them all but I wish we have time.
..and budget
heehee!

For My Lovely Girls

I've never been a bridesmaid. I've been a flower girl, once, on my Aunt's wedding, but that was when I was still learning my multiplication table.  I vaguely remember the church aisle, the procession and other events.  Hence, I've never experienced how it is to grunt on the dress that the bride gave, to plan on the best way to catch that bouquet nor cry on romantic exchange of vows.

My bridesmaids would be my sisters so I want them to look elegant on my day.

I found this photo in the blog of one of my favourite photographers.  I'm sure they will like it!

Month of ♥♥♥

It's the first day of February.. one of my favourite months. :)

Because it's love month, I was inspired to finalize the theme and details for our save-the-date video with DLS this coming August.  I want it to be really romantic, vintage and at the same time capture the feelings we have for each other.. Woot! Hopeless romantic? Haha!

And so I thought of having blurbs on the video..

In your eyes, I have found my home.
In your heart, I have found my love.
In your soul, I have found my mate.
With you, I am whole, full, alive.
You make me laugh. You let me cry.
You are my breath, my every heartbeat.

I am yours.
You are mine.
Of this we are certain.
You are lodged in my heart.

I can envision it already, sweetness! :)

..oops! Sorry, I still can't make up my mind!

Changing Venue..

Because of this..

We have to give up some things.. And that is Balai Taal..

We realized that we need to prioritize.. Aside, from having 2 weddings, there's still life after that.  We don't want to wake up the next day with empty bank accounts. :)

I've spent one whole day, searching for the cheap but not cheapo venue.  Hopefully, with the nice view of Taal still.  Narrowed down searches to Hill Creek and Rosemont Gardens.  Until I realized, is this what I or even we wanted?  A garden wedding... Knowing myself, I won't ever walk on the soil. No way.. So, when I met H2B after work, we discussed about our change of venue.  He researched about all the venues in Tagaytay while I went crazy contemplating on the venue.  We even considered, giving up Caleruega for a beach wedding at Punta Fuego. Haha!

Then, in the morning, I remembered about a nice house designed by a famous architect.  I immeadiately searched for it in the net when I reached office.  And had an overseas call to Ms Cheng after I met my client to enquire.  Price is still steep but lower than Balai Taal.  We have to slash our guest list too.

But, that's what we wanted anyway, an intimate wedding surrounded by people special to us.

And.. it's not a garden wedding.. :)

More Wedding Theme Inspirations

It's a great delight for me that the theme we've chosen for the Philippine Wedding is easy to execute.. But.. there's a "but"..  Themed weddings cost more bucks.  Nonetheless, we are still pushing through.

So, here are more inspirations for our 1940's Hollywood Glamour Inspired Wedding..
